Got there to see some nutter coming off the water hanging onto an 11m sail. I thought I'd made another fruitless journey when he turned out to be a formula racer out training.

Rigged the 6.2 which turned out to be right, wallowing in the lulls but hanging on in the gusts. Got a 360 on stbd tack for the first time, but it was a fight to stay up wind with the current pushing downwind.

It was good to get out after so many wasted journeys, must be the insurance ticket of bringing my 7.1 slalom sail.
